We understand that pets are more than just loving companions. For many, they’re members of the family, and the death of a pet can be just as difficult as losing a person we love.
From simple cremations to memorial services to a peaceful, permanent resting place you can always return to, we help families lay their best friends to rest with dignity and compassion. Families also have the option to preplan final arrangements, to help make things a little easier when the time comes.

Our professionals will help you with the selection of an ideal casket for your pet. The cremation is completed within 24 hours. Cremated remains are available for pick up at our facility or delivered back to your veterinarian clinic. For an additional fee, ashes can be mailed anywhere within the continental US.
We are able to accommodate animal cremation of all sizes, from hamsters and guinea pigs, to cat and dog cremation, to your beloved equine.
If you are unable to bring your pet to Best Friends, we can take your pet into our care from any veterinarian clinic in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas during business hours, Monday through Friday, at no additional charge. Best Friends also provides in-home pickups from homes for an additional charge.
