COURTNEY HICKMAN
Funeral Intern
While originally from the Southwest, I spread my wings early, flying around the United States and eventually Europe. Wherever I landed, I have been of service.
I joined the military in 2013 as a Flight Operations Specialist, finishing my service in 2026 with the Indiana Army National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer and UH-60 helicopter pilot. I was certain after performing and leading many military honors funeral details that I would continue to serve communities by working in funeral service. I have nearly completed my B.A. in Aeronautics at Embry Riddle University, and I am also pursuing funeral director accreditations.
I am happily married with three children. Our family started in Indiana, raising our own young children as well as becoming foster parents. Before moving to New Mexico in 2025, we spent several years residing in Italy, Germany, and the UK. I had many adventures traveling to various countries and regions, passionately hiking mountains and exploring caves with my love and hobby of geology. Now I look forward to many years here, discovering all that the New Mexico landscape has to offer, and to spend much of my free time actively involved with my church and our community service initiatives.

I excel at being a steady hand with compassion and guidance in difficult times and I am thrilled to be a part of the French team. I resonate with the continuous strive for excellence and possess an indisputable alignment with the mission that every life matters and should be treated with dignity and respect.
