Yolanda “Jackie” Moore, 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 28, 2021. The second child of Tom and Corinne Grande, Jackie grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic School at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, which her family also attended. Jackie married the love of her life, Patrick B. Moore, and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage together filled with family and many friends.
Shortly after high school, Jackie began working for a local television station, KGGM 13, of which she had many stories that she often shared with grandchildren. After that, she would go on to work for 60 years at the family business, MorCo Battery. Customers will remember Jackie for her sweet smile, quick witted humor and unstoppable work ethic - she loved to be at work.
Jackie was often known to be the life of the party. Her friends and family were everything to her, and she was the happiest when surrounded by them at her home. She was a great cook - her family will miss her stew, red chile & posole, natillas and so many more of her infamous dishes. Jackie and her husband Pat were fixtures at many local eateries, and often frequented the Albuquerque Country Club. She always took the time to get to know the servers at her favorite restaurants, and was known to bring them birthday cards on their birthdays, or to celebrate other milestones in their lives. Many said her visits were the highlights of their week.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Corrine Grande, and her husband, Patrick B. Moore, who undoubtedly was there to welcome her to heaven with a cup of coffee and a ‘little snack.’ She is survived by her brother, Rudy Grande; children, Pat Moore and wife, Lynda, Lisa Campbell and husband, Joe, and Mike Moore; eight grandchildren, Ashley Cantrell and husband, Jake, J.J. Webb and husband, Max, Tori Andersen and husband, Jean Andersen , Ryan Sandoval and wife, Sheridan Sandoval, Bradford Sandoval and wife Amanda Sandoval, Jessica Campbell, Tyler Moore, and Megan Moore; and 12 great-grandchildren, ranging in age from 6 months old to 13 years old.
