Native New Mexican, beloved teacher, and loyal friend, Marilyn Reinman passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. Her endless creativity and love for her family and synagogue were her hallmarks. Deeply rooted in Albuquerque, Marilyn enjoyed friendships that lasted sixty to eighty years. She met the love of her life, Richard, at the University of Arizona and brought him back to her hometown where she raised two daughters and served as a leader and educator at Congregation B’nai Israel, founded by her father. Marilyn was always interested in others’ stories and had a unique talent for making people feel heard and appreciated. To her friends and family, Marilyn was loving, supportive and a constant source of ideas and inspiration. The successes and happiness of her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She is survived by her daughters Paula and Betsy, sons-in-law Sandy and Aryeh, grandchildren Lanny, William, Marlee, Zachary and Shoshana, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please support the cause closest to Marilyn’s heart, Congregation B’nai Israel.
