Robert Benedict Rodriguez

January 2, 1934 — August 24, 2021

Robert Benedict Rodriguez was born in Albany, New York in 1934. He was one of three boys, and he delivered newspapers, as well as ice blocks for family ice boxes. When he was of age, he joined the Unites States Air Force. It was while he was stationed in San Antonio, Texas that he met and fell in love with his wife, Maria. They were married and had five children. After being stationed in Germany, Robert and his family moved to Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was here that Robert and Maria finished raising their children, and Robert began a career in computers when it was still a very young profession. After he retired, Robert used his expertise in computer programming for the Albuquerque School system. Robert was very active in his church, the state education board, local scholarship programs, and district politics. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, and he has seen places like Italy, Spain, Greece, and Japan to name a few. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria. He leaves behind daughters, Linda and Janette; sons, Kenneth, James, and Edward; as well as grandchildren, Christina, Audrey, and Alexander. He leaves his legacy with his great-grandchildren, Addison, Hayden, Liam, and Luke. Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Monday, September 20, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a scholarship program of your choice.
