Rita Casaus Coleman passed peacefully at home in Old Town, Albuquerque on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Born in Cuba, NM in 1930, Rita was known to friends and family alike as “Grandma”. A graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, Rita was a successful mother, teacher, entrepreneur, and a friend to everyone she met. “She had a kind, peaceful spirit that made you want to sit and talk to her,” one friend said. “She will be missed dearly”.
She will join her Mother, Father, Sister, Husband and Grandson, Joseph Dufault, in heaven.
She is survived by her daughter Marie Coleman, her son Jim Coleman and 3 granddaughters, Ashlee Coleman, Lindsay Coleman, Jamie Coleman, and great grandson Jayden Hanhart.
