Reverend A. Kent Faris

The Reverend A. Kent Faris, retired Baptist missionary at Laguna Acoma Baptist Church and Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil, and former pastor of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Albuquerque, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at the age of 94. He joins his parents, Alvin and Pearl; and his daughter Ruth. He was a man of great faith and stature (6'8"), though he was a very humble and gentle man. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; children Stephen and Vicki Faris, Tamara and Michael Nuboer, Bart and Cindy Faris; grandchildren Alyssa Barstow, Zach Faris, Daniel Faris, Tina Gustafson, Jessica Nuboer, Chris Nuboer, and their spouses; along with 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at FRENCH-Wyoming. Friday, December 17th, 2021, with public viewing from 10:00-11:00am, service following. To view the service online, please click HERE .

A Faris family member has an allergic reaction to some fragrances, so we ask that guests not wear perfume or cologne.

Burial will be at Laguna Baptist Church in Budville at 2:00pm. He will be sorely missed.
