Minerva Perla (Romero) Romero

Minerva Perla Romero died peacefully at home with family at her side on July 8, 2021, at the age of 102. She was in good health and prepared herself for bed before laying down for an eternal rest. Minerva was born in Los Lunas, New Mexico on June 6, 1919. She was the eldest daughter of Andres Romero and Emilia Romero.

Minerva is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Harold Romero; eldest daughter, Maureen Bernice Romero; and by two brothers, Boleslo Romero and Andres Romero. She is survived by five offspring, Evelyn Romero (Jon Mustonen), Gary Romero (Joanne Romero), Gene Romero, Claire Romero (David Bomse), and Larry Romero (Irma Chavez de Romero); as well as numerous grandchildren, Michelle Garcia, Misa Romero, Alex Romero, Christopher Romero, Aaron Romero, Gene Louis Romero, Andrea Romero, Marisol Romero, Sofia Bomse; great-grandchild, Sander Romero; her sister, Soveida Gonzales; and several nieces and nephews.

A rosary will take place at 10:00am, and mass at 10:30am on Thursday July 22, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, 87114. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
