They moved to CA after Harold was called to serve in the Coast Guard. After his discharge and completing his education, they moved to Albuquerque where he went to work for Sandia National Laboratories. Marilyn completed graduate studies at the University of New Mexico and joined the Albuquerque Public Schools where she worked as a middle-school librarian until she retired in 1987.
