Manuel Gonzales

Manuel Gonzales, just 10 days before his 94th birthday, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, October 2, 2022. He was in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and served 25 years as a Master Sergeant in the NM Army National Guard. Manuel enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing tomatoes, cooking, co-ed bowling, and wood carving. He was a quiet, caring, and peaceful man that never had a bad word to say about anyone, nor complained about things in his life.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 70 years, Josephine; his three children, Mike and Cindy Gonzales, Edie and Benny Sandoval, Manny Jr. and Monica Gonzales; his niece, Cyndi Herrera and family; and his nephew, Dino, Mary Herrera and family. He is also survived by half a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a good man, who enjoyed spending time with his family, and he will be truly missed.

A Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
