Luz Elena Ruiz Solis (Alba)

Luz Elena Ruiz Solis (Alba), of Albuquerque, NM, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday March 31, after a long battle with cancer. Luz was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on September 14, 1953 to Manuel and Macaria Ruiz.

Luz is survived by her beloved daughter Veronica and grandsons Miguel and Martin, whom she treasured. She will be greatly missed by her adoring sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and extended family, and many friends.

True to her name, Luz was a shining light to all who knew her. Her life's passion was being the best mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and Tia.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Manuel (Apa) and Macaria (Ama), first husband Miguel Angel Alba (decs. 1991) and later husband Roberto Solis (decs. 2007), as well as three brothers.
