Linda Ruth Dunstan

Linda Ruth Dunstan age 73, went with the Lord unexpectedly Thursday, July 11, 2019, in Albuquerque, NM. She was the wife of Thomas M. Dunstan. They shared a loving marriage of 49 years and over 50 years of life together. Born in Flushing, NY she was the daughter of Howard and Olive Barkell. She

graduated in 1967 with a B.S. and earned a M.S. in 1975. She was employed through APS for many years and traveled the world teaching before that. Her most recent place of work was Horizon Academy West.

Linda enjoyed teaching, writing, creating and most of all spending time with her family. In recent years she loved teaching and doting on her great-grandson, Oliver. She will be remembered for her unconditional loving nature for her family and everyone she came across including her students.

Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas Dunstan; their children, Adam Dunstan, his wife, Bethany; Anna Renna, her husband, Jack; grandchildren, Zayda Renna, Peter Renna, and Kyle Gragert; her stepchildren, Chris Dunstan, wife Karon, his daughters Cora, Molly, and Karon’s daughter, Jasmin; Melanie Dunstan her fiancée Guy and extended family in England and the U.S.A. Then there is the newest addition, Zayda’s son and her great-grandson Oliver Engle. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Olive Barkell and brother, Gordon Barkell. A Memorial Service will be held on September 15, 2019 from 1;00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Albuquerque Garden Center at 10120 Lomas Blvd. You can get in touch with family at lindamemorial@comcast.net
