Kevin Lee Johnson

Kevin Lee Johnson was called home on New Year's Day, one day shy of his 53rd birthday. Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, he was a US Army Veteran having served honorably in Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles). After his time in the military Kevin returned to school and became a Radiologic Technologist and worked in X-ray departments in New Mexico and Arizona. Kevin had a passion for the outdoors and was at his happiest when he was camping or fishing.

Kevin was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly J. Johnson; and grandmother, Louise Harper. Kevin is survived by his daughter, Sheridan Johnson and her mother, Audrey Oxendine; mother, Irene Marietta; sister, Christine Sanchez and husband, Frank Sanchez; brother, Levi Johnson Jr., and wife, Michelle all of Albuquerque NM; his father, Levi Johnson Sr.; and brother, Lucas Johnson of Locust Grove, OK; nieces, Savannah Sanchez (Ramon Cordova), Cheyenne Sanchez (Tomas Majer), Kaila Johnson (Brandon Chauncey), Krista Johnson, Megan Sanchez (Anthony Lujan), Lauryn Johnson, Avilina Johnson, and Madyson Johnson; nephews, Isaiah Johnson and Malaki Mariscal; great-nieces, Xaelynn Johnson and Tahzana Frnco; great-nephews, Joaquin (JJ) Alderete, Josiah Cordova, Xavian Johnson, Cristiano Cordova, and newborn boys, Dominic Lucio Lujan and Xandyn Lee Johnson.

Kevin was clearly the life of the party and enjoyed being the center of attention and made lifelong friends wherever he went.

Services will be on Saturday, January 15, 2022, beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m., services will begin at 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - University.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, with pallbearers Jesse Sanchez, Bill Martinez, Ramon Cordova, Christopher Sanchez, Keith Sanchez, JJ Alderete, and Malaki Mariscal.

Honorary pallbearers are Isaiah Johnson, Tomas Majer, and Josiah Cordova. Reception to follow at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center at 2401 12th St. NW.
