Joe Ann M. Rife

Joe Ann M. Rife, age 81, of Albuquerque, NM went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Joe Ann was born in 1941, in Keokuk, IA.

A graduate of Keokuk High School. She spent her adventurous years in Des Moines, IA, with the dearest of friends. She was one of the original telephone operators. She was married to her husband James in 1965. They lived in Hamilton, Illinois and shortly in Chicago where they attended school. They moved to Albuquerque New Mexico in 1970 where they lived, in the same house for 50 years. She was a prolific crafter, still crafting and painting folk art and clay pot characters throughout the spring.

She passed peacefully with her son by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, father and mother Leroy and Frances (Anderson) Guymon. She is survived by her two sons, Patrick (Denall) Rife and Michael (Laura) Rife; her granddaughter the light of her life, Mackenzie Rife; her brother, Russel Guymon; sister, Esther Harding; and sisters-in-law, Margie Rife, and Martha Willey, and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to family, friends, and neighbors for your years of help, prayers, and support.

A Visitation with the family will occur on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., FRENCH - Lomas. Private services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to Parkinson's Connection of Central NM.
