Age 94, passed away January 10, 2015 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children; Tony Shenuski and wife, Edrie, Jolene Ratliff and husband, Frank and Doris Shenuski Zetocha; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many other family and friends including her very special neighbor and "sister" Addie Purchase. Jessie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her parents and her five siblings. Born in Albuquerque into one of the founding families, Jessie was a devout Catholic and along with her family were long time members of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy and was very proud of her Old Town roots. Jessie was a devoted wife and mother. After her children were grown, she worked at the Covered Wagon in Old Town. She loved to shop and in recent years became a competitive bingo player. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 15, 2015, 9:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza NW. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Camila Tapia and the staff at Casa De Rosa Assisted Living for their loving care in her last years. Jessie came to love the staff as family and Casa De Rosa as her home. Mrs. Shenuski loved flowers. If you would prefer, memorial contributions may be made to cancer research, as she was a survivor of ovarian cancer.
