Jean Billie (Churchwell) Hulbert

Jean Billie Hulbert, age 70, wonderful mother, loving grandmother, devoted wife, generous friend, creative genius - passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, with her family by her side and surrounded in love. Jean was known for her eternal giving, loyalty to family, helping others, always creating something, and frequent sarcasm.

Jean was a gifted Special Education teacher with a wonderful way of connecting to students, she treasured this time of her life. In previous careers she was a master seamstress and gifted artist. Jean is famous for the motto she lived by - "Pay It Forward". She believed in being generous and always giving to those in need, always "Spreading The Love."

She is survived by her twin son and daughter and their families: son, Gabriel Hilland and wife, Jennifer Hill and their daughters, Emma and Allison Hill; daughter, Spring Hill Edwards and husband, David Edwards and their son, Samuel Edwards. She is also survived by her sister, Paula Churchwell Bowman and husband, Kevin Bowman and their daughter, Sabrina Sage. She also leaves many cherished friends who will miss her dearly.

Jean was preceded in death by her soul mate and late husband, John "Zoomer" Hulbert; sister,and travel buddy, Nancy Churchwell; her parents, Bill and Dorothy Churchwell; and her first husband, Steve Hill.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, with location and time TBD. In lieu of Memorial contributions or flowers, we ask that everyone "Pay It Forward" to someone in need, in honor of Jean.
