Janice E. Miller

November 27, 1932 — February 2, 2020

Janice E. Miller, age 87, Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully in the presence of her children.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Scott (Jan), Teri Miller, Hal (Kismet), and Warren (Jane); and sister, Sally. Grandchildren are Teri’s Anna, Hal and Kismet’s Sean and Jack, and Warren and Jane’s Erika, Julia, and Jessica. She was predeceased in 2004 by her husband and best friend, Charles L. Miller; parents, Harold and Doris Eberhardt; and brothers, Paul, Howard, and Wayne.

Mrs. Miller was born and raised in Massillon, OH. She received BA and MA degrees from Kent State University and Nazareth College, Rochester NY. She taught elementary school in Alliance, OH, and Webster, NY.

Mrs. Miller was an organist and choir director, founder and charter president of the PA Jaycettes, on the board of the NYS Reading Association, president of the Rochester Meals and More Soup Kitchen, chaired the 55th reunion of Washington High School, Massillon, co-chaired the startup of the Wooster Circles program and served in numerous volunteer roles throughout her life.

In Wooster she was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Tree City Quilters, Delta Zeta Alumni Chapter, Monday Club, Association of American University Women, and Circles of Hope Guiding Coalition. In New York, she was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard in Webster.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church, 201 N. Market Street, Wooster, OH 44691

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1130 Webster Road, Webster, NY 14580-9321
