Gerald "Jerry" Gordon Baker

December 19, 1964 — March 26, 2021

Jerry Baker, born December 19, 1964, a good, kindhearted man, passed away on March 26, 2021. Jerry was known for his devotion to the people he loved and his dedication to his family, friends, his job, and coworkers. He was born in Albuquerque, NM, went to Sandia High where he played baseball and wrestled.  He met his first love, Kathleen at the age of 15 at an Albuquerque Dukes game, then parted ways two years later. He had two beautiful children, Calvin, and Cassie whom he loved dearly. He worked in construction as an Iron Worker for several years then began working for the City of Albuquerque in the Transit Department and worked there 21 years. In 2013, 30 years later, he met up with Kathleen again and made a beautiful life with her.

Jerry was a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, loved his football.  He loved to travel and cook, he loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and especially gardening. He and his brother Brian were inseparable especially during football season.

He is survived by his fiancée Kathleen Hitt, his parents Gordon and Evelyn Baker, his daughter Cassandra Baker, his son Calvin Baker, his brother Brian Baker, wife Suzy Baker, niece Kaylee Baker, niece Melanie Baker and nephew Brian Baker Jr.  He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins who he cherished and loved.

Jerry had a gentle soul and will truly be missed, and his beautiful spirit will continue.
