Gerald Lee Williams

October 14, 1940 — February 15, 2021

Gerald Williams (Jerry) passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 15, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Jerry received a BS in math and a MS in computer science while serving in the Air Force.  He retired from service and went on to teach at TVI and work in a computer tech company.  But his favorite job was lifeguarding and managing pools for the City of Albuquerque while he was in his sixties.

He had a love for country music, cycling, triathlon, and building things.  He had a wicked sense of humor and enjoyed mangling words in conversation.

Jerry’s brother Fred Williams preceded him in death by one week.
He is survived by his wife Carol J. Williams, children Brian Williams and Karen Williams, and siblings Don Williams, Susan Gummere, and Nancy Williams.

A Memorial Service will be held later in the year when it is more COVID-19 safe.

His family would like to acknowledge Hospice of New Mexico for their loving care over the last several months.
In lieu of flowers, and more appropriately, please donate even a dollar to Hospice of New Mexico or the Alzheimer’s Association of New Mexico.
