Gary Robert Okino

Gary Okino, 55, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, was called home unexpectedly on November 9, 2020 after a brief illness.

Gary was an avid bow hunter, greatly enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, four wheeling, exploring, and enjoying time with his family. Gary was an excellent cook, smoking and barbecuing many a delicious meal for family and friends. Although 2020 was a challenge due to the pandemic, it also allowed more opportunities for Gary to spend with family, enjoying the outdoors, scouting for deer, and exploring the wilderness.

Gary was an animal lover, loved and was loved by his four-legged friends: Doug, Bitsy, Mia, Winston, and Kitty. Also his grandpuppies: Benelli and Roper. He also cared for the bees and caught many a swarm, every time saving the Queen! He was the biggest fan ever of Mark Ronchetti and John Wick.

Rosary will be recited on a date/ location to be determined dependent upon social gathering restrictions. Service date and location to be determined as well.
