Demetria "Tita" Montoya Trujillo went on to her Heavenly Reward on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was born at home on the family ranch in Los Montoyas, New Mexico in the early fall of 1928 to José Dolores and Demetria (of Ribera, New Mexico) Montoya. On Saturday, October 4, 1947, she married her sweetheart, Adelaido "Lalo" Trujillo. Lalo and Tita were married until his passing in 2008, just months shy of their 61st wedding anniversary. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and her oldest daughter, Lucille; her husband, Wayne; and their youngest child, Eric Johnson. The Heavens rejoice that all are reunited.
Lalo and Tita raised their family in Albuquerque, New Mexico where they were founding Parishioners of The Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. She was also a Socia De La Capilla De Nuestro San Antonio in Los Montoyas. Faith and Family were the two cornerstones of her life, and she demonstrated both fearlessly.
