Daniel Marino

Daniel Marino, 78, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 24, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born on October 13, 1939, to Joseph and Elisa Marino Sr. of Albuquerque, NM.

Daniel was a 1958 graduate of Albuquerque High School. He served in the Air Force Reserves. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Accounting in 1973 from the University of Albuquerque, at which time he earned the Wall Street Journal Achievement Award. He began his career working for the State of New Mexico, Bureau of Revenue Department as a staff accountant. He was promoted to the Director of Bureau of Revenue upon receiving his bachelor's degree and appointed to the position of Deputy State Auditor in 1976.

Daniel relocated to El Segundo, CA in 1978 to pursue his career. He married Marie in 1979 and lived in California until his retirement from TRW as Manager of Cost Accounting in 1999. Both Dan and his beloved wife retired in Albuquerque, NM. They enjoyed the company of their family and friends. They spent time traveling, gardening and entertaining.

Daniel is survived by his daughters, Margaret Kepler and husband, Kenneth, Nadine Steidley and husband, David; granddaughter, Danielle Martinez; sisters, Margaret Stork and Liz Perry; brother, Richard Marino; and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Irene Marino; parents, Joseph and Elisa Marino Sr.; brothers, Richard Marino, Leo Marino Sr., and Joseph Marino Jr.; and sister, Lucy Loner.

Daniel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM followed by the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place following the mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
