Charles Young, 100, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on December 14, 2020.

He entered this world on August 16, 1920 in Geuda Springs, KS, born to Charles and Lois Frem Young. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 65 years Edna Lee Young and by a brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter Linda Givens; son Robert Young (Julie); son Stephen Young, grandsons Brian Givens (Nicole) and Chris Givens and granddaughter Jennifer Evers and great grandson Tyler Givens. He is also survived by one brother, Gale and one sister, Joyce.

Charles served in the United States Coast Guard from 1941 - 1946. He retired as the assistant credit manager with Sears Roebuck and Company. He volunteered his services to the Democratic party of New Mexico for the past 15 years. He was a long time member of the Northeast Church of Christ in Albuquerque. His passion to serve extended into the community in many ways. An avid walker at Coronado Mall. This enabled him to meet many people and offer ways in which to serve them.

A special thank you to the caring staff at Morning Star on Palomas for their attentiveness and special attention they gave to my father the past few years.  His caregivers were like family to him.  A special thank you to the health care staff at La Vida Llena for their kindness and compassion to him and his family in his final days.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Northeastern Church of Christ, 11000 Paseo Del Norte NE followed with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
