Carl Anthony Macaluso

April 29, 1945 — June 1, 2022

Carl (Mac) Macaluso, 77, beloved Father and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He entered this world on April 29, 1945, in Albuquerque, NM, born to Carl and Adeline Macaluso. He is survived by partner, Curtis Caylor; son, Todd Macaluso and wife Stacie; daughter, Amy Macaluso; grandsons, Kyle and Trevor Farar and Brayden and Jackson Macaluso; and sister, Nina Adkins and husband Bill. His family is grateful for the care of his Presbyterian Hospice nurse, Shannon.

Mac went to St. Mary's School, grades one through twelve. He then attended the University of New Mexico and received a Bachelor of Arts, and later in life he received a Master's Degree in Educational Administration.

Mac taught students at Jefferson Middle School and Cibola High School. He left APS to work for several years at PNM. He then went to Saudi Arabia and worked for the Saudi Consolidated Electric Company for 15 years as a Management Trainer. While at SCEC, he traveled the world and made many international friends with whom he kept in contact until his death.

On returning to the USA, he worked several jobs and eventually retired from APS as a Summer School Administrator.

Mac would regale anyone who would listen with stories about the world places he had visited and memories of his childhood growing up in Albuquerque's North Valley. He was still in contact with many of his neighbors. Mac loved his French bulldogs, Otto and Olivia.

Mac served in the National Guard from 1967 to 1972. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. Mac will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
