Blondell Keen, age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Calloway of Albuquerque; son, Michael Keen of Tullos, Louisiana; sister, Nelda Bernard of Houston, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Blondell was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Keen; daughter, Sonya D. Keith; sister, Doris Kennedy; and parents, Julius, and Eula Smith.
Blondell was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, and after marriage, lived in Tullos, LA; Kilgore, TX; Pampa, TX; and Moore, OK. She moved to Albuquerque after losing her home to the May 3, 1999, tornado in Moore. She joined Eastern Hills Baptist Church in 2000 and was active in the Silver Seekers program for senior members.
A Memorial Service will be held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
