Anthony "Tony" Johnson

Anthony “Tony” Johnson.  Born in Portales, NM on April 5, 1985 and passed away in Albuquerque, NM on October 26, 2020.

He was a loving father, son, brother and Prim.

Tony was preceded in death by his father; Raymond Chavez; brother, Matthew Chavez; sister, Marissa Chavez; grandparents, Raymond Johnson and Victor Chavez. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Chavez; daughter, Destiny; siblings, Raymond, Priscilla and Frances Chavez (Caleb Uribe); nieces, Evany Chavez, Eliza Ray Chavez, Melody and Cadence Uribe; and grandmothers, Frances Johnson and Thelma Chavez. Honorary mentions Roberto Galaz and Ruby Guerra.

Tony was raised in Clovis, NM.  He was a star baseball player in his youth, had a passion for animals, and lived and loved for his family and friends. He was the person you called when you needed anything and never departed without an “I love you”.  Tony was strong, brave and a man of faith.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 2, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas.  Friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m.
