Al Hall, 74, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 7th, 2022. He is survived by his two children; Tanya Smith and husband Jerry, David Blakley, and wife Brittney; grandchildren, Alexia and Shayla Smith, Jordan, and Taylor Blakley; sister Carol Cyphert; brother, David Hall, and wife Rosina; brothers-in-law, Danny Ortiz, Steve Ortiz, and wife Susan; sister-in-law, Patricia Turner and husband Scott, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss him deeply. Al was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Catherine Hall; mother, Margaret (Troup) Ingram; stepfather, James Ingram; father, Elmer Hall; brother-in-law, Donald Cyphert; niece, Susan Katelic.
Al was born in Saltsburg, PA, October 26, 1947, before moving to Albuquerque and graduating from Manzano High school in 1966. He joined the Army and served for four years before returning to Albuquerque and joining the Albuquerque Police Force. After 20 years, Al was able to retire as a Sergeant and spend more time doing the things he loved; fishing, golfing, bowling, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
A celebration of life will take place at FRENCH-Wyoming, on Wednesday, May 18th. Visitation will be held from 9-10am, with services at 10:00 am. A procession will follow to Mt. Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1900 Edith Blvd. N.E., where Al will be laid to rest.
