William Frederick Zimmerman Jr., age 80, of Edgewood, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026.

William lived a life defined by faith, service, hard work, and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before building a distinguished career as a civil engineer and surveyor in New Mexico. Through his work, he helped shape communities and left a lasting impact on the state he called home.

Beyond his profession, William found joy in woodworking, spending time with horses, visiting the beach and hunting. He was a man of strong faith who loved attending church and participating in Bible study. His devotion to God guided his life and served as an example to those around him.

William is survived by his sister, Eva Garwood and her husband, John Garwood; his daughters, Elizabeth Howells and Jennifer White; his beloved grandchildren, Mason Howells, Drew Sutton, Tory Quary, Laney Gregory, Aiden Howells, and Tate White; and his great-grandson, Ty Sutton. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

William will be remembered for his steady presence, wisdom, craftsmanship, faith, and the love he shared with his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the values he instilled in those who knew him.

The family finds comfort in the words of Scripture:

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23

Though he will be deeply missed, his family rejoices in the assurance that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
