William P. "Billba" Quinn, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died on Monday, December 18, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathleen; children, Garrett Quinn, Dallas Marshall and husband, Joe, and Roy Hendrickson; brother-in-law, Max S. Baca; grandson, Robin Hendrickson; nieces, Benita Alexandre and Joanna DeBrine and husband, Earl; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, William James and Mildred Farrara Quinn; daughter, Kim Hendrickson; sister, Leonora Morral; and brother, Richard Quinn.
Billba was born in 1936 in Newark, NJ and was a member of the United States Air Force and National Guard. After moving to Albuquerque he worked for the Air Force in Avionics until his retirement. Bill was an avid sportsman who loved playing tennis and softball as well as fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 27, 2017, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE, Albuquerque, NM. Ennichment of cremated remains will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robin Hendrickson, Earl E. “Trey” DeBrine III, Jordan DeBrine, and Joseph DeBrine.
Bill's family would like to express a special thanks to his caregivers, Grace Hernandez, Yangchen Tsering, Takisha Anderson, Nancy Suarez Garcia, and Louise Rodriguez for their loving care.
