William Thomas Plisga

William (Bill) T. Plisga, age 80, of Albuquerque NM, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Albuquerque. Bill was born in Winslow, Maine, to William J. and Katherine Plisga on Tuesday, July 12, 1938.  He served in the United States Airforce as a Radar Tech from 1956 to 1960.  He married Frances A. Wyman on September 3, 1960 in Englewood, CO. He worked his way up through IBM where he retired as the Director of International Procurement after 28 years. Bill lived in Northglenn, CO, for 38 years prior to retiring to Albuquerque NM. He was involved in his local community serving as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the West Adams County Fire Protection District and served as an elected official on the County Fire Board for two terms. Bill was an active member Northglenn Elks Lodge #2438 throughout his life and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling the globe with his wife and family, Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father; he is survived by his wife, Frances Plisga, children, William A. Plisga (Karen Reading), Kathy Plisga (Todd) Parfet; his sister, Pauline St. Amand and niece, Valerie Plouffe of North Hampton, NH; grandchildren, Reese Parfet, Connor Plisga, Gabriella Plisga, Nicole and Emily Reading.  Pallbearers will be Todd Parfet, Connor Plisga, Ron Wyman, Dave Wyman, Alan Wyman and Steve Herrera. The family of William Plisga wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Presbyterian Hospital Critical Cardiac Care Unit for assisting Bill and his family in his final days. A Visitation will be held Monday January 7, 2019, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Westside, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 1001 Meteor Ave NE, Rio Rancho.
