William Michael Pirtle

William Michael Pirtle went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

Bill was born on February 21, 1942, in Wabash, Indiana. He was the son of William Pirtle and Mary (Thrasher) Pirtle of Linton, Indiana.

He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharon (Arnac) Pirtle, daughter Ski Reneé VanderLaan and husband Doug, daughter Trista Rachelle Rightmer, granddaughter Britney Ritz, grandson Christian Rightmer, granddaughter Shaylynn Halliburton, great-granddaughters Autumn, Henley, and Cirilla, great-grandson Emmett, and niece Kerri Helms.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at New Covenant Church 7201 Paseo del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113 with Pastor Dave Dechape. A private burial with family only will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
