William Parkes

William Parkes, 85, beloved Grandfather, Son, Father, and Great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 29, 2023. He was born on February 7, 1938 in Clementon, NJ, to Robert and Margaret Parkes.

William proudly served in the Air Force. He made an impact on every person he met and was a kind and caring person. William enjoyed golfing and had many hobbies; he truly loved his puzzles. He also enjoyed seeing the country while he was transporting trucks. William was a family man and loved his family near and far with all of his heart.

He is survived by his children, Matthew Parkes, Andrew Parkes (June Baca), Melissa Reeves-Evins, Muriel Metler; grandchildren, Joshua Metler, Katie Metler, Melody Martinez, Jared Reeves, Morgan Mieczkowski; great-grandchild Adalynn Martinez; as well as many beloved family and friends. He was preceded by his wife of almost 40 years, Angelina Parkes.

A memorial service will be held 11 am on Saturday October 7, 2023, at French Funeral and Cremations at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE.
