William Edward Maguire

William E. (Bill) Maguire passed peacefully in his sleep August 27,2026.

Born Jan. 8 1925 and living to the ripe old age of 101.

Obtained his bachelors from University of Portland in 1951.

And served in the US Navy during World War II on the US Carrier FDR as a tail gunner on a TBF Torpedo Bomber, as well as the Albuquerque Naval Reserves.

He served his local community as a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul, an Active member of the Knights of Columbus, Ancient order of Hibernians, American Legion, and an active member & Usher at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Church.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Jane Maguire, his oldest son Gregory Maguire, his first wife Regina Martin Maguire, and his second wife Evelyn Baca Maguire & her son Fidel Baca.

Bill is survived by his 4 sons Brian Maguire and Wife Karen of Waco, Texas, Kevin Maguire of Albuquerque, Kent Maguire and Wife Lisa of Omaha Nebraska, Kerry Maguire of Albuquerque, Greg's wife Jonni Jill Coppedge, and son Christopher. He is also survived by an extended family of Grand Children Levon & Sage of Houston, Liam & Sky of Albuquerque, Michele & Mario Melo of Iowa, Daniel Maguire of Omaha, N.E., Brandon & Lara of Temple Texas, James & Marissa of Waco, Texas, Sean & Taylor of Waco, Nephew Terry, & Daughter Dominique, and 17 Great Grand Children. Sons: James & Maria Baca of Placitas, Rick & Marlene Baca of Albuquerque, Bill & Teri Baca of Placitas, & Joe Baca of Denver, Colorado, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in Montana and Ireland.

Honorary Pall Bearers: James, Sean, Brandon, Liam, Levon, Daniel, & Michele.

Services as follows. Visitation at French Mortuary 9-3-26 @ 6:00 PM, with rosary to follow.

Funeral at St. Bernadette 10:00 AM 9-4-26.
