William Janick

William Janick, 93, beloved Father and Brother, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was born on Sunday, May 22, 1927 in Oak Park, IL, born to William and Helen Janick. He is survived by his daughters, Naideen Galek, Georgene Siemsen, Colleen Solomon, Charlene Schwartz; and sister, Renetta Moley. William is a World War II veteran that served in the United States Army from Tuesday, August 28, 1945 to Tuesday, January 28, 1947. Afterwards, his profession was as an Industrial Engineer, and he retired from Western Electric, an electrical engineering and manufacturing company. After his retirement, he served in positions such as a policeman and a security supervisor. He was a dedicated United States patriot and citizen. At various periods throughout his life, he loved and enjoyed sailing, motorcycle riding, big bands, and classical music. He played the violin, and he performed in an all-male singing quartet. He was a skilled home improvement master. His family, complete with four beautiful daughters, always had what they needed. William lived a full life, and his family and friends will remember him as the perfect gentleman and for all the ways he contributed to their happiness.
