William Hardy Gronewold

Bill Gronewold, loving husband, father, and brother, passed away to our Lord on Monday, July 17, 2023, at his home. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa, son of Mylon and Virgina (nee Hardy) Gronewold. Bill's love for God shined like a bright light to all who knew him. His honesty and loyalty to all family and friends was uplifting to everyone. Bill was a lifelong educator and High School Guidance Counselor, working in schools in Missouri, Iowa, and New Mexico.

In retirement, Bill spent time with his wife Brenda and their dogs, Watson and Wendy. Bill had many hobbies which included motorcycling, hiking, gardening, and singing in the church choir.

Bill is survived by his wife Brenda Gronewold (Wilvert)
son Tom (Marijo) Gronewold and daughter Rejean (Ellen Dellorto) Gronewold, sisters Diana (Joel) Hamilton and Joanne Gronewold. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tom Gronewold, and sisters Carolann Gronewold and Janice Huber.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
