Warren Kenneth Fisher, Jr.

October 15, 1945 — July 20, 2023

Warren Kenneth Fisher, Jr., a native of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, July 20th.  Ken was born in 1945 to Warren Kenneth Fisher and Lucille Shear Fisher.  He played basketball for UNM graduating with a BA in American Studies, and later earned his MA in public administration from BYU.  He married Dianne in September 1971 in St. George, Utah.  They were happily married for fifty-two years.

Ken’s adult life was one of service.  He was employed for twenty-five years as a Special Agent in the FBI.  His career took him and his family from the west coast to the east coast and eventually back to Albuquerque. After a short retirement, he returned to the workforce as a Counterintelligence Officer with Sandia National Laboratories.

In addition to his professional service, Ken’s church service spanned his adult life.  He freely gave of his time in various roles including mission service in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.  Following retirement, he worked in the Albuquerque temple and as a missionary for the Boston temple.

Ken emulated the example of Jesus.  He was honest, humble, and committed to making the world a better place.  He served and protected and is leaving us with the memory of a man, who later in life, knew no stranger and loved everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife Dianne; his sister, Lucy; four children Julie, Janelle, Jennette, and James, and nine grandchildren.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
