Virginia Eversgerd (Ginny) passed away on October 28, 2025, in the loving care of her daughter, Kristi. She is survived by her son, Jerome (Kim); daughter, Kristi; grandchildren, Ryne (Monica), Bonnie (Courtney), Rachel, and Cruz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; son, Marcus; and her parents.
Ginny carried herself with grace, confidence, and quiet strength. Her striking beauty was often admired, particularly her beautiful hair, which became something of a signature throughout her life.
Ginny was steadfastly true to herself. She was known for being stoic, strong and authentic. Ginny valued honesty over formality and spoke her mind with a sharp wit and dry humor that could surprise or humor people. Though she often preferred solitude and simplicity, her presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Ginny found joy in her daily routines, her coffee and cigarettes, crossword puzzles, and computer games. She enjoyed watching tennis and golf and looked forward to her weekly Wednesday trips to the casino.
She taught her family the importance of independence, accountability, and strength. She was wise and offered guidance through simple words and tough love. She readily helped her children through life's challenges whether it was homework or something more tumultuous.
Ginny will be fondly remembered for her love of roses, hummingbirds, sports and her wonderful cooking, especially her banana bread, sugar cookies, pot roast and the best secret recipe fried chicken❤️
Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife whose love for her husband, Jerome, served as an inspiration to her family. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with Jerome, her one and only true love. Together forever ❤️
May she rest peacefully surrounded by eternal love and light.
