Virgil Bridges, age 86, longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1964. He went to heaven on July 14, 2025. His motto was "worrying killed a many of men don't worry."
He is survived by three children, Rocky Bridges and wife, Christy of Basin, WY, Ty Bridges and wife, Kay of Rio Rancho, NM and Susan Ross and husband, Ernie of Albuquerque, NM: 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was hired at PNM in 1964 as a journeyman lineman and worked his way up to an Operations Supervisor over the line department at the end of his career. He was well respected by many for his knowledge in his line of work. He was a man of his word!!
He loved Sundays watching football on his 4 big screen TVs with his family after making bets in Vegas at the start of every season. He was one of the toughest men that GOD had made and bravely fought cancer over the last 4 years. He was dearly loved by his family and will forever leave a hole in our hearts.
His wishes were that no services be held.
