Dr. Vincent A. Muscarella M.D.

Dr. Vincent A. Muscarella M.D., aged 87, passed away on September 26, 2024. Vincent was born to Gandolph and Rose Muscarella on June 21, 1937 in Buffalo, New York. Vincent is fondly remembered by his brothers Gary & wife Debbie, Damian & wife Anita, his sons Vinny and Greg & wife Kendra, his grandchildren Gandolph, Weston, Luciana, his former wife Judy and a large extended family of nephews & great-nephews, a niece, and a great-niece.

 He was a gifted student who enjoyed his studies at Canisius High School, Buffalo University, and the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University of Chicago where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. Vincent served as a Captain in the United States Army before completing his Dermatology residency at UCLA and beginning his private practice. Vincent’s passion was medicine and serving his patients at the Albuquerque Center for Dermatology, where he practiced for nearly 50 years. With a heart for the poor, he volunteered at community medical clinics around Albuquerque. In addition to his private practice, Vincent served as an attending physician at the UNM Hospital Dermatologic Surgery Clinic, was a member of the staff at Presbyterian and St. Joseph Hospitals, and consulted for the Veterans Hospital. A dedicated professional, he was also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. 

To honor Vincent’s memory, a viewing will be held at FRENCH-Wyoming at 5:30p.m. on Wednesday, October 2nd with a rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. A service will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Albuquerque on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
