Fanning, Victoria “Vikki”
Victoria “Vikki” Fanning, 72, passed away on July 8, 2017. Vikki was known for her service to the public as a trauma nurse and a fire, rescue and ambulance provider in the Thoreau and Gallup area. She and her husband, Tom, were instrumental in launching a volunteer ambulance service in Thoreau, which still serves the community today.
Vikki is survived by her son, Mark Fanning; four grandchildren, Shae, Aspen, Curin and Damon Fanning; 12 great-grandchildren, and her daughter-in-law, Jeanie Fanning. Vikki will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Fanning; her son, Paul Fanning; her grandmother, Butler; father-in-law, James Fanning; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Fanning and numerous other beloved relatives.
A Rosary will be recited Friday, July 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., also at Queen of Heaven. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
