Victor was born on Tuesday, October 28, 1941 in Long Beach, CA. At age 2, he was adopted by Lila and Nick Nixdorf. Nick Nixdorf died when Vic was five years old. When Vic was nine, Lila married Clark Carr, who lived in New Mexico. Vic and his mother then moved to Albuquerque.
Vic attended Highland High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1958, and served 3 years. After his discharge, he moved to Denver, CO, where he resided for eight years. He did missionary work in Colorado for seven years. He then moved to Albuquerque and attended TVI. He was certified as a heavy equipment mechanic. Victor worked for Tom Growney Heavy Equipment for several years. He then went to work at Albuquerque VA Hospital as a food service worker. On September of 2001, he went to work as a crossing guard for Albuquerque Public Schools. He served as a crossing guard for twenty one years.
Victor was an avid reader, He enjoyed swimming, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and target shooting. Victor and Elizabeth were married on Friday, August 30, 1974.
Victor is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Monica Meyring; grandsons, Noah and Grant Meyring; brother, Dr. Quito Carr; and sisters, Barbara Wiseman (Bruce) and Virginia Fair. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Lila Carr; brother, Clark Carr; and his sister, Anita Corey.
Private Graveside services will be held at a later date.
