Victor Richard Arguello passed away on June 1, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1939 in Salida, CO and was raised in Montrose. After he graduated from High School Victor moved to Albuquerque and attended UNM. He was the Manager at Chisholms Drug Store where he met Hope Seik and then married her in 1964. Together they raised four children.
For over 20 years he was the owner of VICA Heating & A/C and was active in the New Mexico film industry. Victor was an extra in 21 films and TV shows including Wild Hogs, No Country for Old Men and Better Call Saul.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Esther Arguello, sister, Marie Barrientos, brother, Michael Arguello, granddaughter, Marie Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife Hope, his children, Lauree Ellison, Candi Arguello, Jaden Sobieski, and Derek Arguello. His grandchildren, Ryan and Kailey Mitchell, Taylor and Jake Wyly, and Victoria Sobieski. Great-grandchildren, Alexis Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell and Jackson Wyly, expected this October. His sisters, Maggie Arguello and Judi Cox, and brother, Anthony Arguello.
Victor loved his family, shooting pool, bowling, attending UNM Basketball games, and pulling weeds...What?
We love you Victor. Who's going to pull the weeds now? Your dog Cooper really misses you.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm at FRENCH- Lomas.
