Our beloved Vickie Jean Cullinan passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2020. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She survived by her loving husband John; son, John; daughter Jennifer; granddaughters, Rylie and Raegan; sisters, Sheri and Yvonne, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Vickie was born in Leadville, CO in 1953. She moved with her family to Lompoc, California where she spent most of her childhood. It was in Lompoc that she met her husband John while working at the Lion’s Inn. They soon became friends and then their love story began. Their journey eventually took them to Los Alamos, NM and they were married September 3, 1977. In the years that followed, Vickie and John built their family and life together first in Los Alamos, then Pojoaque, and finally in Rio Rancho. Anyone who knew Vickie knows of her great big smile and warm kind heart. She was so welcoming to everyone. She was known for making special meals for family and friends that visited while passing through town, always having gifts or toys or games on hand for kids that might stop by, and mailing big boxes of treasures to her grandkids - who were always so excited to receive a box in the mail from Grandma Vickie. Everything she did was always for other people. She was always so thoughtful and always went out of her way to make someone else happy. Doing that made HER happy. A Mass to honor her will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Rio Rancho.
