Vera Leona Pulley, born on July 4th, 1949, of Adrian Michigan passed away on January 19th ,2026. She graduated from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit Michigan. She moved to New Mexico and was a successful nurse for over 25 years. While taking on many roles as a nurse in the hospital including ICU and CCU, she eventually did kidney dialysis and home care.
Vera was a hot air balloon pilot for many years. Along with flying at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, she also participated in a ballooning event in France. She enjoyed golfing and bowling well into her 70's. Vera and her second husband George hosted many Fourth of July and New Years Eve parties. She experienced many wonderful cruises after retiring in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her two parents, Claude Randall Hampton and Ellen Millicent Chrysler: an older sister, Jo Ann Grauer, and two husbands Robert Allen Schiller and George Grafton Pulley. She is survived by her two sisters, Vicki Lee Barnes, Bonnie Jean Hampton: two loving daughters, Kimberly Michelle Nance, Kendra Suzanne Matthews, and a step-daughter, Dorothy Elizabeth Thompson along with 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
