Valeta Weaver

Valeta Shirley (Roberts) Weaver went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 95 in Albuquerque, NM while surrounded by family.

Valeta Roberts was born on August 30, 1930, to Frank and Mable Roberts of San Jon, NM. She married Willis Neal Weaver on December 20, 1947, in San Jon, NM. She was a hardworking and proud mother of their four children, Paula (Johnny) of NM, Trudy (John) of North Carolina, Wesley (Nelda) of Wyoming, and Greta (Dwight) Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis and her oldest daughter Paula. Valeta was a member of First Baptist Church, Bosque Farms NM since 1964 and served in many areas of ministry like teaching Sunday School and serving as church clerk. In her spare time Valeta enjoyed crafting, sewing, and tending to her plants. Valeta has 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am on January 15, 2026, at French Mortuary located 1111 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
