Tony Knudsen

Tony Clair Knudsen, 90, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on September 9, 2024, at his home. Tony was born August 1, 1934 in Fairview, Idaho. His parents are Delbert Christian and Verna Hall Knudsen and was the third oldest in a family of eight children. Tony was inducted in the US Army in 1955 where he served on an anti-aircraft base near Detroit, Michigan, during the Korean War. Upon release from the Army, he was called to serve a 2 ½ year mission in the Netherlands for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tony graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. While attending BYU, he married Elizabeth Ann Powell, and they are the parents of one son and five daughters. In 1963, Tony was hired by the accounting firm of Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) and moved to Albuquerque, NM. Tony was actively involved in service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. In 1999, Ann became unexpectedly ill and passed away. In 2002, Tony married Lucynthia Robbins Lines.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12701 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM (streaming at https://zoom.us/j/99519425953), with a viewing before at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services and interment will take place immediately following the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87107.
