Tony Collums, age 87, passed away peacefully in 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he had made his home and built his life's work for decades. He was born in 1938 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, a place he carried with him throughout his life the warmth, craftsmanship, and determination of his Southern roots.

Tony was a man who built things to last. For 65 years, he operated a custom cabinet business in Albuquerque, a testament to his extraordinary skill, his tireless work ethic, and his belief that a thing worth doing was worth doing right. Countless homes and businesses across New Mexico bear the mark of his craftsmanship - fine cabinets built with care and pride that will outlast the man who made them. To his customers, he was a trusted artisan; to his community, he was a fixture.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Collums, who passed away in 2013. Their partnership was the foundation of everything he cherished, and her absence left a quietness in his life that never fully filled. He carried her with him in every year that followed.

He is survived by his sister, Genice; his three children, Jerry Collums (Trina), Michael Collums, and Susan Collums (Ron); three grandchildren; and five great-grandchilden; and many family members either by blood or not. The family he raised reflects the values he lived - hard work, loyalty, and love.

Tony Collums was a man of sawdust and integrity, of handshakes and honest work. He leaves behind not only the family who loved him and the cabinets that bear his craft, but a quiet example of what a life well-lived looks like. May he rest in the peace he so richly earned.
