Timothy was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, the only child of John Joseph Connelly and Margaret MacQuaid. He died on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Albuquerque after a brief illness.
His young life was spent in Miami, Florida, where he attended High School.
Right after high school graduation in 1966, in the midst of the Vietnam conflict, he and two other classmates enlisted in the Air Force together. Tim was shipped to Wakani Air Base in far northern Japan, 20 miles across the strait from the Russian border.
After receiving excellent fitness reports from his commanding officers and a raise in grade to Sergeant, and being awarded the "Bronze Beaver" award for Zero Defects, he was transferred to Manzano AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in April 1968. There, with a top secret clearance, he was responsible for the movement and storage of hazardous materials, including sensitive munitions. He was released from active duty in July 1970 with an Honorable Discharge and entered the Air Force Reserve until July 1972. He made Albuquerque his permanent home and pursued a career in Warehousing and Logistics for Catalog Showroom and Auto Parts Outlets. He enjoyed roaming the beautiful sites of New Mexico and was a super fan of all forms of motor racing. He enjoyed visiting his extended family in Lake Tahoe and Wisconsin and golfing. Over all these years, he kept up with his buddies who enlisted with him as well as neighbors and friends from the area.
Arrangements for cremation are made with French Funerals and Cremations. His remains will be transported by his extended family to be joined with those of his mother and father at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY, where a service will be held. In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
