Thomas Ryan Saiz

Thomas Ryan Saiz, age 23, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went to be with our Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with his family and friends at his side. He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Frieda Saiz; sister,Adriana Lucero and husband, Isaac; brother, Luis Saiz; grandparents, Frances Pohl and Dennis and Hazel Lucero; girlfriend, Angelina Velasquez; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his grandfather, Julian R. Pohl; and uncle David Padilla. He was born in 1992 in Albuquerque and graduated from Manzano High School, Class of 2010 where he played basketball, baseball, and golf and was active in Student Senate. Thomas attended UNM for two years and was currently attending CNM to get his engineering degree. He loved movies, playing chess, snowboarding, riding his motorcycle, fishing, hiking and playing basketball. Thomas had unconditional love for others and was always happy, making others laugh. His smile was so addictive and contagious. Thomas had a strong faith and love for the Lord. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Thomas' Life will be held at Eastgate Church, 12120 Copper Ave. NE on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Pohl, Joseph Pohl, Nicholas Pohl and Wilfred Pohl. Honorary Pallbearer will be Luciano Garcia. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Eastgate Church.
