Thomas Myles Clark, age 70, loving father, steadfast friend, and lifelong engineer-turned-tomato-and-turtle-enthusiast, passed to the next life on August 6, 2026. He was born June 26, 1956, in Plainfield, NJ, Tom was a record-holding swimmer at Watchung Hills High School who later traded his goggles for hiking boots and moved to the mountains and deserts of the Southwest for college and his early career. Work took him to Colorado, Texas, California, and Ireland, providing a diverse backdrop for building a family and ultimately landing him in New Mexico.

Tom was known for his tireless energy and diverse interests, ranging from cooking health-conscious Indian food to crafting squirrel-proof bird feeders. He was always willing to help a friend, as well as field multiple calls from his daughters regarding household and vehicle maintenance.

He is survived by his children, Meagan, Zoë, and Taylor; his grandchildren: Quinn, Lauren, and Johanna; and many beloved siblings, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and cousins. His hunting buddies, riding friends, neighbors, fellow mountain people, and co-conspirators are similarly numerous and cherished.

Tom's unparalleled wife, Elisabeth; his industrious parents, Byron and Patricia; and his adored bone-doggie, Homer, precede him in death and await him on the other side.

A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026. In place of memorial contributions or flowers, please hug your loved ones and be kind to animals, as Tom would have preferred.
